This Cookies Policy forms part of our general Privacy Policy. You can read the full Privacy Policy.

In common with most other websites and applications, we use cookies and similar technologies to help us understand how people use our Services so that we can keep improving them. We have created this Cookies Policy to provide you with clear and explicit information about the technologies that we use, and your choices when it comes to these technologies.

If you choose to use our Services without blocking or disabling cookies or opting out of other technologies, you will indicate your consent to our use of these cookies and other technologies and to our use (in accordance with this policy and the rest of our Privacy Policy) of any personal information that we collect using these technologies. If you do not consent to the use of these technologies, please be sure to block or disable them using your browser settings, the opt-out links identified in this policy, or the settings within our mobile apps.

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. These text files can be read by these websites and help to identify you when you return to a website. Cookies can be “persistent” or “session” cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your computer when you have gone offline, while session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your web browser.

To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to block and delete cookies, please visit About Cookies or All About Cookies.

We may use a session cookie to identify you while you are navigating certain areas of our website. Said cookie may be named "PHPSESSID" or "ib_sess_id".

In addition to our own cookies, we work with various reputable companies to help us analyse how the Services are used, and to optimise our Services to deliver the best possible experience. The following companies help us achieve this through use of cookies:

  • CloudFlare: the "__cfduid" cookie is set by the CloudFlare service to identify trusted web traffic. It does not correspond to any user id in the web application, nor does the cookie store any personally identifiable information. You can find more information about this cookie by visiting this page.

  • Google: we use AdSense and AdMob, which are part of the advertising services operated by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google and its partners use cookies (like the DoubleClick cookie) to serve relevant and interesting ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. When you interact with our Services your browser or device automatically makes information available to Google on our behalf, including your IP-address. This information about your use of our Services will solely be used to create pseudonym profiles based on your interests. You can find more information on cookies used by Google by visiting this page. If you wish to opt out of personalized ad serving by Google, please see the Opting Out section below.

Please be aware that even if you opt out of interest-based ads, you may still see ads based on factors such as your general location derived from your current IP-address, your browser type and recent, previous searches related to your current search.

Google advertising cookies (including DoubleClick cookies) are usually named "__gads", "id" or "_crt_".

  • Other third parties: cookies, device identifiers, and other technologies may be used by other third-party vendors or ad networks to serve ads through our Services, via the ad exchange technologies provided by Google's advertising services. A list of said third-party vendors or ad networks and their respective websites is available by visiting Google Ad Exchange Vendors. You may visit the provided websites to opt-out of the use of cookies for interest-based advertising. Alternatively, please see the Opting Out section below.

  • Mandrill by MailChimp and PostMark: we use MailChimp and PostMark's email delivery services. MailChimp and PostMark may track who opened the emails and who clicked included links, if any. This allows them to measure their email campaigns' performance, improve their features for specific segments of customers, and provide email analytics data. Please note that, as of the effective date of this policy, we do not use any of MailChimp or PostMark's analytics features.

In addition to cookies, we also use the following standard Internet technologies in connection with your use of the Services:

  • Web beacons: a “web beacon” (or “pixel tag”, "clear GIF", "web bug") is an electronic image (often not visible to the end-user) that allows IBSoft to count users who have visited certain pages or viewed certain advertisements. Additionally, e-mails and other electronic communications IBSoft sends to you may contain pixel tags that enable IBSoft to track your usage of the communication, including whether the communication was opened and/or what links were followed, if any.

  • Personalized advertising on mobile devices: where cookie technology is not available other unique identifiers may be used instead (e.g. in mobile applications), which perform similar functions, such as the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA). To opt-out of identifiers on mobile, please see the Opting Out section below.

  • Digital Rights Management: we use the unique device identifier (UDID) of your iOS devices as part of our digital rights management (DRM) system for some of our iOS apps. Said identifier is never shared with third parties, and is only used internally within our Services in order to tell "Premium-tier" users (who purchased our apps or Services) from "Free-tier" users.

We think it’s important that you are able to control the collection of personal data relating to your use of our Services, and have therefore made sure that you can opt out of any personal data collection using cookies or other technologies as set out below.

Please note that you cannot opt out of our use of UDIDs as these are necessary for the technical operation of our Services. However, we do not use these technologies to collect any personal data.

You can use the settings within your browser to control the cookies that are set on your computer or mobile device. However, please be aware that cookies are important to many aspects for our Services – if you set your browser to reject cookies, you may not be able to enjoy all of the features of our Services. To find out how to see what cookies have been set and how to reject and delete cookies, please visit About Cookies.

  • To opt-out of personalized ad delivery on the Google content network, please visit Google's Ads Settings. If you wish to opt-out permanently even when all cookies are deleted from your browser you can install their plugin here.

  • To opt-out of personalized ad delivery on third party vendors or ad networks operating through Google's ad exchange technologies, please visit their respective websites. You can find a comprehensive list of said third parties by visiting Google Ad Exchange Vendors.

  • You can also manage many companies’ cookies used for online advertising at aboutads.info choices and/or Your Online Choices. Or you may choose to change your browser settings to opt-out of cookies.

  • Web beacons are the same as any other content request included in the recipe for a web page, so you cannot opt out or refuse them. However, where they are used in conjunction with cookies, they can be rendered ineffective by either opting out of cookies or by changing the cookie settings in your browser.

  • To opt out of interest-based ads on mobile devices, please follow these instructions for your mobile device: for iOS devices, follow the instructions on this Apple Support page.

We have done our best to provide you with clear and comprehensive information about our use of cookies and similar technologies. If you choose to use our Services without blocking or disabling cookies or opting out of these technologies (as described above), you will indicate your consent to our use of these cookies and other technologies and to our use (in accordance with this policy and our Privacy Policy) of any personal information that we collect using these technologies. If you do not consent to the use of these technologies, please be sure to block or disable them using your browser settings, the opt-out links above, or the settings on your mobile device.
